Pretty Lights turned heads new and old with the release of his Grammy nominated A Color Map Of the Sun album that incorporated the revolutionary production method of recording to vinyl then sampling his own vinyl to create each track. Throughout the multi-year process it took to create the album, he ended up having quite a few b-side tracks that never made the cut. He has released a very special vinyl full of the B-Sides and more remixes from his album called The Hidden Shades in spirit of Record Store Day that took place this Saturday (April 19th). While they are only available to own through the limited vinyl release, we have the full stream for your listening pleasure.

Most people have one particular thing that makes them feel like it's really, truly time for the Christmas season. For some people, it's the first sight of Christmas lights hung around the neighborhood. For others, it's Christmas quotes that start appearing everywhere you look. For many, though, it's hearing the cheery and festive Christmas songs of the season that is the true sign Dec. 25 is just around the corner. Christmas carols, in particular, are such a key part to the holiday experience that there are entire Christmas albums dedicated to the best music of the holiday.
For a non-traditional, easy listening Christmas album, Norah Jones' I Dream Of Christmas hits all the right marks. The CD features traditional Christmas carols as well as original songs, all done in the famous vocals that Jones is known for.
However, despite what the name implies, No One Deserves Happiness is NOT the warm, fuzzy Rom-Com soundtrack we all thought it might be, instead proving itself to be a strange, savage piece of music that fits somewhere between the usual output of The Body and a Rihanna album. It is odd in all the best ways, a true testament of counter-counter-culture, perfect for listening to while lurking in a basement somewhere with the lights off, refusing to shower, refusing to use even a smidgeon of deodorant for fear that it may actually attract someone of the opposite sex. Yes, this album is nasty, a true central pillar in a world of grime, but oddly enough, poppy in the most perverse way possible, a contrast that proves once again that The Body is unafraid to tread where others fear to go, refusing to set trends because the music is abrasive to the point where no one in their right mind would want to copy it. With all of this in mind, enter No One Deserves Happiness, a masterpiece of perverted pop music.

From the very first album, the band has established itself as an adherent of the tradition of doom metal with the surprise of rock, the value of heavy metal, and atmospheric music in general."Ghost Light" became, without exaggeration, the most mature work of the group. Balanced sounds and inclusions (including amazing lead guitar parts), polished arrangements, and smells of atmosphere - all this makes the album one of a kind and excludes listening. It is also the album and the closure of a trilogy that began on their first full-length album. This intimate concept album takes an even more adventurous turn into the darkest corners of the human mind. The cover and booklet design was done by none other than All Things Rotten, who also worked on the band's first two albums. The album was released as a four-panel digipak with a 12-page booklet. $(".tralbum-about").last().bcTruncate(TruncateProfile.get("tralbum_about"), "more", "less"); credits released March 4, 2022 Solitude Productions solitude-prod.com solitudeproductions.bandcamp.com twitter.com/solitude_bmm facebook.com/solitudeprod youtube.com/c/solitudebmm $(".tralbum-credits").last().bcTruncate(TruncateProfile.get("tralbum_long"), "more", "less"); license all rights reserved tags Tags metal death doom death metal doom doom metal funeral doom traditional doom metal Russian Federation Shopping cart total USD Check out about Solitude Productions Russian Federation
In a mixed review, Alex Macpherson of Fact found the album too conventional, calling it "template rap", and stated, "Both Future's drugged-out vocal style and the chintzy production, so arresting in isolation, become wearying".[20] Evan Rytlewski of The A.V. Club called Pluto a "sporadically engrossing, frequently frustrating curiosity" and commented that it "is a more compelling listen than an album with so many atrocious lyrical turns has any right to be".[19] In his consumer guide, critic Robert Christgau gave the album a two-star honorable mention, he cited "Turn On the Lights" and "Permanent Scar" as highlights and quipped, "The truth is, his Auto-Tuned flow has more future in it than his intermittently interplanetary rhymes".[22] Joshua Errett of Now said, "Pluto nicely refreshes current rap trends and offers some genuinely forward-thinking hooks".[23] Calvin Stovall of XXL said, "Pluto may be far from the sun, but Future shines brightest when he aligns with the stars".[27]
"The fans really have an opportunity to digest each track and really learn every aspect of every song like when I was growing up," said Kael. "Two full albums at one time is a lot, so we broke it up for the listening experience."
"If you've seen Five Finger Death Punch, you know that every time we come around we try to one up ourselves," said Kael. "There's no difference with this one. We brought out huge lights and really put together an incredible set list that will reach every fan we've got. If you like the heavy stuff, we've got that. If you are a fan of the slower stuff, we've got that as well. Just like we do on the album, we try to take you on a journey with us and it will be one hell of a journey for Lubbock."
Things get hot'n'nasty straight from the off with "To The Bone" a raucous riff laden rocker that struts and stumbles along at a fine old pace incorporating along the way all the cliches and tropes we have come to expect from music with a southern bias, multiple guitar attack, husky vocal tones and lyrics that reference smoking weed and drinking alcohol, but it doesn't matter because this is exactly what we want when listening to music of this ilk and MuffDiver deliver it perfectly. Things couldn't get more "down home" you might be thinking but then they do with next track "The Healer" which finds the band jamming a song that can't decide if its a country tinged lament or a furious southern rock torch song and so settles on being both. "Childish Cruelty" and its follow up "In Your Honour" we shall deal with together as they both deal with depression and suicide with a level of candour and intelligence rare in rock music, the former chronicling an extreme reaction to years of childhood bullying, against a backdrop of groove reminiscent of early Black Stone Cherry, and the latter a heart wrenching open letter written to a troubled friend who the author knows will never read it, the song played out to a soundtrack of swirling bluesy guitars and sympathetic rhythms with the songs lyrics delivered in a voice wracked with a myriad of conflicting emotions. After the raw and heavy emotional subject matter of the last two songs you will be in sore need of something to raise the spirits and "Complete the Mission" does just that, it is an up-tempo romp driven by thundering bass and tight solid drumming that sees all three guitarists furiously competing with each other to be top dog, and if that's not enough there's even some crazy parping harmonica howling around the gritty soulful vocals to seal the deal and leave you with a big sloppy grin on your face 2ff7e9595c
